Community Guidelines
These guidelines apply to the ixFabric website, member portal, support channels, and official community spaces,
including Discord, Telegram and social media.
They cover how you
the members use our services and interact with
each other and our staff.
Respect others
Treat members, staff, and visitors with courtesy. Use appropriate language and keep comments constructive, even when you disagree. Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, and targeted abuse are not permitted. People of all backgrounds, beliefs and identities are welcome. Keep political and religious debates out of ixFabric spaces and do not post inflammatory or discriminatory comments about race, religion or sexual orientation.
Keep discussions useful and appropriate
- Keep posts, support requests and comments relevant to their purpose.
- Do not spam, troll, repeatedly derail discussions or engage in excessive self-promotion.
- Do not share explicit or NSFW material through the website or our community channels.
Use your account responsibly
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. Keep your login credentials and password reset links private, and notify ixFabric promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. Do not impersonate another person or organisation, create accounts to evade restrictions or attempt to access another member’s account or information.
Provide accurate information
Keep the contact, organisation, ASN and network information you submit reasonably accurate and up to date. Only submit or manage resources that you are authorised to represent. Do not knowingly publish misleading peering details, contact information or other data that could disrupt communication or network operations.
Protect systems and members
- Do not use the website, portal, APIs, or community channels to distribute malware, conduct phishing, collect credentials or interfere with other users or networks.
- Do not attempt to bypass access controls, probe private areas of the service, overload systems or exploit a suspected vulnerability. If you discover a security issue, report it privately to ixFabric so we can investigate it.
Respect privacy and confidential information
- Do not publish another person’s private information without their permission.
- Do not share private support conversations, credentials, access tokens, or information obtained through unauthorised access.
Information made available to members through the portal should be used for legitimate ixFabric and network coordination purposes.
Follow staff directions
Our staff and moderators may move or remove content, ask members to change their behaviour or restrict access where needed to protect the community or service.
Please follow reasonable directions and raise any concerns with us privately.
Penalties violations of these guidelines are subject to the following penalties:

First offence
- Type: Formal warning
- Administered by: Moderators / Staff
- Consequence: No immediate consequence, just a warning.

Second offence
- Type: 24-hour ban
- Administered by: Moderators / Staff
- Consequence: 24-hour timeout from ixFabric community spaces and applicable account features.

Third offence
- Type: Persistent removal
- Administered by: Staff / Administration
- Consequence: Account termination and a permanent ban from ixFabric.
